K.O.M.T

In cooperation with various concert organizers and Music institutions in Kosovo, a music tour is to be organized, which will enable musicians and bands to present their own music across Kosovo for a week.

During one week, musicians (bands, formations) play concerts in various cities in Kosovo (evening program). The afternoon program consists of workshops with children, young people and music students. The musicians (from Kosovo and Switzerland) present their latest musical creations (original compositions) and inspire children, teenagers and young adults to engage with music. In cooperation with the local media, the musicians are also given additional platforms for presenting their artistic work.

If a formation is a jazz band, a jam session takes place after the concert (or is also part of the workshops). In this way, the performing musicians also come into contact with the local musicians in a creative way. Conversely, the local musicians have the opportunity to improvise with different musicians (also from Switzerland) and create unique musical experiences. The project takes place once a month.

Why

The Kosova Original Music Tour aims to elevate Kosovo’s cultural identity by showcasing its musical talent and fostering cross-cultural artistic exchange. It seeks to inspire local communities, particularly the youth, by providing access to live original music and creative workshops. This initiative not only highlights Kosovo’s vibrant music scene but also paves the way for international collaboration, enhancing the country’s cultural visibility
