Community Events

Better Together organizes 1–2 Community Events per month in Prishtina, each at a different location – from rehearsal rooms where bands showcase their creative process to venues where local and international experts share knowledge. Themes are selected by the Community Events Project Manager (CEPM) in collaboration with our Mapping & Research (M&R) Team, based on community insights and feedback. Topics range from practical music-business skills, such as creating an EPK, to songwriting, music production, and technical tools.

Events are interactive and adaptable, guided by clear moderation to foster discussion, learning, and participation. Each event concludes with a live performance or jam session, providing experiential learning, inspiration, and community engagement. Whenever possible, we integrate Swiss mentors, musicians, and cultural experts, creating structured cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Community Events provide structured spaces for peer learning, professional development, and dialogue, transforming informal networks into sustainable collaborative structures. They directly connect emerging artists, musicians, bands, cultural spaces, and organizers, while engaging international mentors and partners to enhance expertise and professional standards. Audiences and community participants are encouraged to actively engage through Q&A, participatory sessions, and interactive projects.

By systematically connecting local and international actors, Community Events contribute to the long-term growth of Kosova’s music ecosystem, reinforcing collaboration, visibility, and professionalization. These events also feed directly into the development of other Better Together initiatives, including ThisIsKosova.Art and the Kosova Original Music Tour, while providing live research data that informs strategic decisions, participant selection, and future programming.
